Activity behavior

My understanding is that the Activity section should populated when all the following conditions are met: 1. users have come across a feed while browsing with Safari, 2. been prompted by the Safari HyperTexting extension of the discovered feed and 3. Chosen to open in HyperTexting instead of cancel. All conditions were met but I still see nothing in Activity. Am I doing something wrong? Could the fact that Safari is not my default browser be affecting the intended behavior?

Yes, the HyperTexting Safari Extension only works with Safari. I’m not even sure if any other browser supports web extensions on mobile. The last time I checked Chrome didn’t support extensions on iOS or Android.

But I was using Safari. It isn’t set as the default, that’s all. May need to add that to the instructions if that’s an additional requirement for Chrome users.

Switching my default browser app settings from Chrome to Safari resolved the issue. Even if using Safari, if the default browser app is set to Chrome, the activity tab in HyperTexting won’t populate even though Safari will report finding feeds.

That’s… interesting. Thanks for reporting this! I’ll see if I can reproduce it and determine if there’s a workaround.
